It's CYRM Time!

Monarch students started reading the California Young Reader Medal Award nominees this week. TK-3rd graders will be reading the five books in the primary category and 4th and 5th graders will read the three Picture Book for Older Reader (PBOR) books. After each class is done reading all the books, we'll review them and then each student will be choosing their favorite to vote for. Votes will be tallied for Monarch Grove and then submitted to the state committee who will then add up all the votes from all California students to determine the winner. This award is unique in that it is one of the only awards decided on by children.
